It’s a tough question to answer; Can the Government ban bingo sites on your pc? And, to be fair, I don’t fully know the answer, although I can provide an opinion and the facts which I am aware of.

Bingo is, by all accounts, one of the biggest forms of gambling around. This was never truer than nowadays with the implantation of the online bingo community, which is a cheaper alternative to the traditional bingo halls. With tickets on some sites starting at 1p, the bingo industry has sky rocketed to unbelievable heights and probably, so has the amount of gambling addicts in and around the UK and indeed the rest of the world.

Because bingo is a form of gambling, all sites which offer bingo should be regulated by the government under The Gaming Act 1968 with the Department of Culture stating that “cash bingo is primarily a commercial activity and is regulated by the Gaming Act 1968”.

Under UK law bingo can only take place on a licensed and registered premise, such as the traditional bingo hall, and the bingo players taking part must be on the premises at the time when the gaming takes place. This would then mean that these online bingo sites breach this fundamental statement. And, if that is the case, then you may find that the government then had the right to ban these from your computer. However, in order to counter this, many online bingo games open to UK players operate outside of the UK and therefore avoid these legislation problems.

If online bingo sites do not follow and adhere to the strict guidelines which is set out, not only by the regulatory bodies, but also the government themselves then in theory these could be banned from your PC. All websites should carry a government logo and information about where they are registered. If it does not, it is a site which should be avoided at all costs.

While the government does have measures in place which are there to assist and protect those of us who play Bingo online, they do not have the ability or the right to ban you from playing on these sites. What you will find is that if you choose to do so, and are then unfortunate to run into problems be it in trying to withdraw cash or claiming your winnings, then you may find there will be no support in place to assist you in claiming it back.

As previously mentioned, although the measures and warnings are in place, people have the right to choose. This would therefore strongly suggest that despite the laws and regulations in place the government have no power or jurisdiction, particularly in terms of online sites out-with the UK, to ban these from your PC.

The first thing to strike the user of Sun Bingo is the exciting and up-to-date look of its website. The navigational bar can be found at the top of the screen and the Sun Bingos’ choice of games are set out in an easy-to-use scrolling interface, allowing the user to sift through the various games and their costs with ease. For those who are new to the online bingo, Sun Bingo has also provided a help menu. Here you will find all the information you will need on how to register, deposit funds and general gameplay, as well as detailed instructions on how to play each individual game.

Registering is fairly simple, however users may find it can be rather difficult to determine the minimum deposit required as this isn’t displayed very clearly on their front page. To save you the hassle, £10 is the required amount and like many other bingo sites nowadays, Sun bingo is willing to match that by 100% up to the value of £100. Not bad, eh?

Each game varies in style from your standard Bingo to some instant win cash games. One game for example, Gold Digger, involves drilling through blocks in a mine shaft to find cash prizes. The bingo games have lobbies where users are shown other users currently playing and the full house value of each game. These also allow the user to customize their options from marking your own numbers, to selecting the colour of your dabber, all of which make the experience feel more realistic. For something a little different, users can take part in Chat Games where you will need to keep your eyes and ears peeled to win some cash.

Prizes for games will vary, depending on what you play. There are also seasonal promotions for events such as Halloween and some of their big prizes include brand new homes! There are also some great extras include Sunbingo90, where every room in the lobby play together for a standard prize pool. There is also Sunbingo80, which has a fixed jackpot of £500 if a full house is called within a certain amount of numbers.

The Sunbingo site offers users quick and easy access to all of its games, a simple up-to-date user interface and finally some great chances to win cash prizes. Definitely worth a look if you haven’t already.

There are plenty of games to play. If 90-ball is your game, then there are twenty rooms to play in. There are five groups of four rooms. I play in the orange room or Jaffas as we are called, part of the Harlequin group.

I’ve made a lot of friends and in contact with some privately through a group on MSN.
So everytime I log in there is always someone who i know. It makes playing bingo more fun and relaxing. The prizes are great and the link games are even better. The jackpots are progressive and can build upto around £20,000.

There is also a pattern room. This has a fixed jackpot of £500 if bingo is called within certain amount of numbers. This varies from pattern to pattern.

A new room thats been added is Bingo Lite. This is 90-ball and with cards starting from 2p each, the fun goes on and on, without breaking the bank. The prize money isn’t a lot but its still great fun. This has a fixed jackpot of £100.

Sometimes i play in 80-ball bingo. This game reminds me of seaside bingo or the side game you play at land bingo with the boards and sliders.

I’ve never won in this room, its always busy. Here you play for one horizontal line then full house.
At Tombola you can play two games at the same time, I usually play Battleships and 90-ball bingo. Battleships is based on the popular board game and your 50p or £1 lasts a long time. You can move your ships around the board or let the computer randomly place them. Then just sit back and watch the rockets blast the ships. The top prize is £5000 if all ships are sunk in fifteen rockets.

Another great game is Cinco. This is a five card game. Place your bet on the amount of cards you want to play. The software generates random cards to match your own. If you cross off all your cards you win the house prize. If you win in seven cards or less, you can win upto £5000. I’ve never won a jackpot on Tombola, although i did win the link three times in one night two years ago and netted myself just under £3000.

Everyday i try my luck at the Carnival. This is a free game for everyone. With a chance to win anything from £5 to £5000. This can be found on the home page.

Another great incentive Tombola has introduced is Play Mates. A player chooses you as their playmate, so everytime they win over £20 you win £1. My playmate has won loads, so its nice to log in and see my account balance has gone up.

Overall Tombola is a fantastic site with great games, a friendly chat community, fantastic incentives, very witty chat hosts and great cash prizes.
