With many people experiencing gambling addictions and financial difficulties is it possible to ban UK online bingo sites from your PC? This is a very interesting question and one where the answer is ‘yes’ as much as it can be.

Not only do people going through difficulties need support so that they are not greeted with a bingo site and all that they have to offer encouraging them to sign up when they go online, many parents may not want their child to enter into that world either. Some people may simply want to ban these sites popping up because they are annoying!

There are devises available that enable us to ban certain online sites being accessible, go online to take a look at them.

As well as having the option to safeguard your computer from displaying certain UK online bingo sites the majority give you the chance to remove yourself from playing at the site for certain periods of time as well. Many also allow you to de-register yourself if you need too!

This is a very useful option to have and one you should look out for when deciding whether online bingo is for you! Make sure before joining the world of online bingo that you are doing so for the right reasons and if you are not then maybe the banning process would be a good path to take!

There is always a way in which you can exclude yourself from various bingo sites, and this can be done by e-mail to the relevant site or by using the self exclusion choice which can be found on plenty of sites such as Tombola, Jackpot Joy, Ladbrokes bingo and Wink Bingo, just to name a few.

The way in which this can be done is by clicking the my account button in which you will see a number of links including the responsible gambling section, if you click on this link you will then have the option on whether or not you wish to ban yourself from the bingo site. To do this just press the self ban button and you will no longer be able to log on. When you chose this method you do not ban yourself forever, it is usually for 6 months at the most and if you wish this can be one week or two weeks if that is what you require.

I personally think if you wish to ban the bingo site forever you must then e-mail that site with your request and hopefully they can then do this for you. At many sites you also have deposit limits if you only want to spend a selected amount and to set these limits just go into the ‘my account’ section and then the bingo deposit section of which will give you the choice of setting a limit or not. Some sites do tell you to be aware before you set a cool off period or a ban, as when you do you can no longer see any withdrawals or other information which you might need to look at it after the event.

Most of the time, playing bingo is a fun thing – bingo can be a way to wind down after a hard day at work and it can be a great social part of our lives as we converse with people all over the globe, but sometimes it can be a problem.

It’s extremely easy to deposit money on bingo sites – it’s done within the click of a button and it almost feels as if it’s not real money; simply a figure of digits in our balances. That’s why sometimes it can be a shock to us all as bingo fans when we check a statement and see how much we have deposited! There are ways to control this though and there are two reasonable options – the less severe is setting yourself a limit – most bingo sites offer the option to do this. You can then set an amount you can afford daily or weekly.

Another option a lot of people are choosing is blocking bingo and gambling sites from your PC completely. A lot of “cyber nanny” type programs allow you to do this but you have to select the sites yourself and that could be a very tedious task. A great, simple and cost effective way of doing it is downloading a program called GamBlock. Gamblock.com have designed software that blocks every gaming site from your PC, prevents you from clicking onto bingo sites or going anywhere near them and the best thing about it is, they are constantly updating their systems. This means when a new bingo site is released, Gamblock automatically update their software.

It does come at a price, but prices are extremely reasonable with discounts available if you hire the software for years at a time. This is also a great tool for parents that want to restrict these sites from their children or work places that want to block these sites from their employees PCs.
